The Home Team have been outplayed by the Australians in this series but they still have chance to come back and win at SSC and level the series 1-1 on the other hand team Australia will hoping for better weather as it would likely have become 2-0 had rain and bad light not interrupted in Pallekele.

    Former captain Ricky Pointing will be back in the side at No.3.There will also be a change in the bowling attack as Ryan Harris has been left out of the playing 11 due to his hamstring injury and he will be replaced by Peter Siddle. This will be high scoring game as SSC Pitch has the history of huge Runs behind it.
